As data and new research become available, JEVISN will maintain an index of JEV data here.
We particularly seek to include the following categories of data:
- Outbreak data (e.g., the 2022 Australian epidemic)
- Surveillance data
- Data from forecasts of ongoing JEV outbreaks
- Data from models of spatial spread in previous JEV outbreaks
- Data from models of spatial spread in regions where JEV may emerge in the future
(e.g. Europe, North America, South America) - Data from models of JEV importation risk (e.g. Europe, North America, South America)
- A semi-quantitative importation risk assessment published in August 2024 determined that infected mosquito eggs and larvae imported via used tire products is the most likely source of introduction into the United States (Dixon et al., 2024). JEV establishment in the U.S. south is more likely compared to other geographic regions including Hawaii.
Data will be linked to this page and stored in open access repositories when possible.
